Finn Cossar’s Tree of Knowledge will be an evolving participatory sculpture: a sculptural tree form whose foliage is gradually enriched by contributions from its community. Each “leaf” is a physical token (metal, wood, or durable synthetic) on which participants are invited to inscribe or stamp a piece of knowledge, insight, wisdom or learning they have gained. The sculpture can be exhibited in a gallery context or sited in a public space where it remains accessible to all.
