PEACE RUN TV PILOT
With the support of Patron Jocelyn Walker, singer-songwriter Andrea Kirwin (Nambour) plans to film and record the pilot for a music concert series, called Peace Run TV, to promote to music lovers globally and put Nambour on the map as a live music destination.
With an intimate live audience, the proposed concert series would build off the Live at Peace Run shows Andrea currently hosts at Peace Run Records in Nambour, supporting a touring artist performing live and acoustic.
Andrea sees intimate live music shows with high quality artists as part of Nambour’s future as a Special Entertainment Precinct. The ultimate aim is for Peace Run TV to help attract more tourists and investment from live music venue operators who see there is a movement of people who are keen to pay to see live music.
“This is what I’m working towards, and what I’m most passionate about. I believe that Nambour can become a Live Music Destination much like Tamworth, where music lovers travel there to see great live music. We are zoned as one of two Special Entertainment Precincts in Australia, the other being Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. But unlike Fortitude Valley, we can’t sustain big nightclubs with our population and clientele, nor do we want to. But we could have venues like the ‘Bluebird Cafe’ in Nashville”.
