Project Description

The Sunshine Coast Arts Foundation’s Annual Giving program, GIFTED will invest in creative development in partnership with arts organisations, artists and donors.

Six partner organisations and artists will be selected by the SCAF Board each year as campaign recipients to give prospective donors options as recipients for their donation. Arts organisations and artists who are interested in submitting a proposal for the 2021 GIFTED campaign can review SCAF’s eligibility and guidelines on the website or contact the Executive Officer at for a proposal form.

The GIFTED Campaign was established with a very generous gift by the De Deyne Family. Ferre De Deyne a SCAF Board Director, Sunshine Coast businessman, collector of art and philanthropist launched the campaign on Friday 6 November 2020 at Venue 114, Bokarina.

The Sunshine Coast Audience and Market Research 2020 found that most people believe arts and culture make the Sunshine Coast a better place, want variety in the arts and cultural offerings, and want to raise the level of ambition for local talent.

Chair of the Sunshine Coast Arts Foundation Professor Jennifer Radbourne said the GIFTED Campaign will tap into that sentiment. “Here on the Sunshine Coast not only are we ‘gifted’ by the fabulous environment and a caring and enlightened community, but most importantly we live with gifted artists and creatives, who are talented, innovative, entrepreneurial, engaging, giving us an experience of surprise, happiness and celebration”.

The program will support artists across the variety of disciplines, in keeping with SCAF’s purpose. GIFTED is a partnership model because SCAF is not a grant-making body.

SCAF invites donations to the GIFTED campaign to invest in talented local artists and ensure their success and the artistic prosperity of the Sunshine Coast. Donations can be made to the GIFTED campaign by contacting the Executive Officer, or online. Click here to donate.
