D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective is a multicultural, Sunshine Coast-based company that creates immersive, thought-provoking performances. We blend physical theatre, dance, and visual arts to tell stories that explore social themes. With a diverse ensemble of artists, we break traditional theatre boundaries by using multiple languages and interactive spaces. Our shows are devised collectively, drawing inspiration from the community, aiming to foster discussion and new perspectives. We believe theatre should be a shared experience that challenges, connects, and inspires.
ABOUT OUR WORK
D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective delivers unique, immersive theatre experiences. Our productions use multiple languages and break traditional theatre norms—no stage, no audience seats. We combine dance, physical theatre, philosophy, poetry, literature, and visual arts into a mesmerising visual and soundscape. Each show is an experience, not just a performance.
All D.I.V.E. shows are devised by our ensemble of talented artists from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, based on issues that matter to society. We explore themes raised by the community, for the community, aiming to spark discussion on crucial social topics.
Currently, we’re raising funds for two projects:
- To tour our show Amor to Brisbane and other locations in Southeast QLD, in 2024-2025.
- For the collective development, rehearsals, production, and touring of our show Identity in 2025-2026
